That was great, but there’s something I must ask: Dad, have you considered getting Matt a guitar his own size? It would really help his future as a guitarist, IMHO. Let me know if you want any guidance on that.
THAnks for the comment and the advice. We started him on the smallest guitar that we could find, but the quality on that guitar left much to be desired. His music teacher recommended the Cordoba Cadet, which is what you see in the video. We would appreciate any recemmendations.

I didn't realize that that's a 3/4-sized guitar — I thought that was a full-sized guitar! It looks and sounds like a good guitar.
I haven't taught in several years, so I'm not up to date on the half-sized guitar market, but I'm asking around for recommendations.

Hi John,
Kevin Taylor of the Childbloom guitar school recommends checking into half-sized guitars by Strunal, Esteve, or Flores. I trust Kevin's judgement.
The Flores and Esteve guitars are more expensive and sound a little better (I think they make some solid-top models), but the Strunal is much less expensive and sounds pretty good (according to Kevin).
I don't know what part of the world you live in, but the main challenge might be to find these guitars to try out in person with Matt.
Flores has a website — http://www.rubenflores.com — and Kevin says if you call the number the president of the company picks up.
A quick Google on Strunal guitars suggests that they are available at a few music stores here and there in the USA. Maybe you can track one down near you and try it out.
Google turns up http://www.fernandezmusic.com/EsteveGuitars.html as a source of Esteve guitars. These are more expensive, but I'd certainly try some out if you can find them locally.
